Frustrations of an HTML Idiot

Ah.. the woes of one who has no clue what they are doing! I have a perfect image in my head of what I want this place to look like, but I lack the skills & patience to make it work! Even when I "give up" & download a template I can't figure out how to use it! LOL

Here are a couple pics I took that I had a mind to use as headers.. maybe one of you lovely people out there.. (ugh hm, kitt, ugh hm) could help me figure out what the heck to do! :)
